Lot’s wife

I am of several minds.

Looking back is by nature the salt of tears. Not so much for disobedience but for lack of, in the most literal interpretation, forward-thinking. In which case it is merely a penalty for lack of industry. If it is not half a league onward, it is in decline.

Then of course there is the question of obedience. When a power bids you look only forward, it is best to obey, perhaps.

But I find each of these a little lacking. Perhaps it was only she who was willing to fully witness the genocide of righteousness. Perhaps she was turned into salt because she saw too much.

Ah these troublesome wives.
